4 scammers in just a 24 hour period in trying to sell a vehicle. This is just one of them. Fake cheque scam and the others are the VIN scam. I didn’t know it was this bad.

Scams are totally rampant right now, being online and doing anything financial is a minefield. At least you know the signs so you can avoid them.

  2. Yup pretty bad. Hard to filter out who is fake. No one will ever mail you a check and spell it a different way. Also accept cash only.

I got a bunch of scammers reaching out as well, and even got one of them to send me a check that was over $10K the asking price.

Apparently, I am now supposed to send the extra $10K to their shipper, which they provided me a mailing address since I told them I was inept and could not Paypal.

Any ideas on what I should do to screw with them?
