    People submit these suicide reports because they think Reddit contacts the police. I’m pretty sure for some people they think they’re “swatting” a poster. I’ve had them posted about me numerous times after political discussions in r/politics.

    I’ve never been suicidal and have certainly never even discussed the topic on Reddit. Yet I’ve gotten a half dozen of those. I never click the links but simply reply that it was submitted by someone as a prank.
