  1. It’s a scam. Probably a counterfeit check. If you have ANY doubt bring it to a bank branch and have them check the authenticity. If you cash it you will be on the hook for the full amount.

    There’s no free money.

Seen this before? More times than you can count. This is a !fakecheck scam. Just walk away. If you go along with this, you will lose money, because the payment will turn out to be a) fake or b) stolen. Either way it will be clawed back from you, while the bitcoin payment you make to this person will be irreversible. It’s really common scam.

If anyone aside from your parents talks about your “allowance” I think it would be safe to assume it’s a scam.

They send a fake check, the bank takes back the money, and they get free Bitcoin, and you’re on the book civilly and potentially criminally.

Lol… take the check. Buy the bitcoin for yourself
Hodl it till the bank takes the money back. Sell the bitcoin for a profit. Deposit the cash back in your account. Just make sure you have the funds to cover the amount of the check and more. Scam the scammers!

J/k…. but for real, if it feels too good to be true, it probably is. Free is a four letter word beginning with F and ending with E….. so is fake.

That’s a scam. Pretty much anytime they send you money than want you to do something fir them it’s a scam. It’s called a check cashing scam. The check will sit in your bank like 30 days than it will get returned. You will owe fir whatever money you spent out of the bounced check. The scammer will either be long gone, or they will make up some story apologizing that they can make it up to you than they will do it again Probly with another stolen bank account. You will either catch on they will keep doing it over and over and over could go infinitely high depending on how long it takes you to realize that your never getting that money and it’s all fraud accounts.
