For Reference: I’m a 16 year old dude selling items on a game, I had sold an item via PayPal friends and family to another person over a game, few days pass he calls for a chargeback claiming he never received his item(trying to con me). But I had taken precaution I had closed the PayPal account, and he email connected to the PayPal account, the address on the PayPal was a a fake address, not account or cards linked at all, only the phone number I used to verify the account was real. Got an automated call yesterday, I sure as hell don’t want to pay this guy after I already upheld my side of the deal. Should I just ignore, are there any ramifications, just need some advice?

If he paid via F&F, he wouldn’t be able to get his money back. The only way he would is if he didn’t authorize the account. Chances are the scammer paid with a stolen account and *that* person asked for a chargeback. Since that victim didn’t authorize the payment, the chargenack will go through. That is how scammers get around the f&f option.

Either way, **DON’T** suddenly close your account like this. It makes *you* look guilty and PayPal will probably ban your account.
