So I got an Email from this email address

[email protected]
Under the name of “David Miller”

I’ve been looking for a job in the field for a while so seeing this caught my attention.
So I followed the instructions and the interview went as normal except they did a text interview rather than a phone interview, which was werid. I went with it because the questions they asked were really professional and they asked questions any interviewer would. In the end they said I was hired immediately but refused to give me a start date. They ghosted me as soon as I asked them to verify if it was a scam or no so I can continue with the process

  1. Check 1: It was sent by a gmail address not their own e-mail server.

Conclusion: It is 100% a scam, do not engage.

You should have been done with this in seconds, you wasted your time going through the motions of the interview.

  2. Seems like people are trying to use names of successful companies. Someone posted about a similar scam, except they claimed to be hiring for Crunchyroll.

    Sick scammers.

  3. They do it with naughtydog too, they seem to time it with when naughtydog says they’re hiring as well to make it more believable. I got one from another game company a few months ago, some mobile app one I don’t recall the name. But yes, these are fake.

(I got one this morning and despite being a professional I seriously questioned their standards which instantly red flagged me lol, being honest with oneself does have value as seen here.)
