    ”Nexus” refers to location restrictions that some other country TLD’s have. (For example, .nyc requires that your website is for your business and you must submit proof your business is located within New York City)

    So no, you do not have to be Indian, be located in India or even have anything at all whatsoever to do with India to register a .in name.

    Anybody is allowed to register a .in TLD. Yes, even dirty awful Christians. Get over it and move on.
